‘Star Wars’: Carrie Fisher admits hooking up with Harrison Ford

Carrie Fisher confirms a four-decade secret swirling around the “Star Wars” saga.

Back in 1976, when she was just 19, she engaged in a three-month romance with co-star Harrison Ford while filming for the George Lucas flick. At the time, Ford, 33, was married to Mary Marquard with whom he had two kids.

“It was so intense,” the celebrity actress-novelist, 60, exclusively told People. “It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend.”

The on-screen couple spent their first night after the birthday celebration of the series’ director, Lucas. She wrote in the excerpt, “I looked over at Harrison. A hero’s face—a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow. How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?”

“I was so inexperienced, but I trusted something about him. He was kind.”

Fisher also spilled more scoops of her “intimate” relationship in her upcoming book, “The Princess Diarist,” from which People excerpted for its next issue.

Ford and Fisher, who played Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa, reprised their historic roles for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” aired last year.  Gianna Francesca Catolico
