When drug testing in show biz is OK with Dingdong

/ 12:01 AM November 14, 2016

Actor Dingdong Dantes on the idea of conducting drug tests among show biz personalities: “It depends on the purpose. Because it could be just a political agenda, harassment, or to prove a point. For instance, bus drivers are required by their employers to undergo tests, because the lives of hundreds of people depend on them—it’s imperative. When I became a commissioner of the National Youth Commission in 2014, I had to do it because it was a basic requirement by the government.

“In the entertainment industry, if your contract says you need to maintain a clean lifestyle, then that’s part of your commitment to your contract—compliance. If drug testing would be done for that purpose, then it would make sense.”—ALLAN POLICARPIO
