Ryan Reynolds guested in the late-night talk show “Conan” on Wednesday, reenacting with the host the steamy smooch scene between Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams in the 2004 film “The Notebook.”

The “Deadpool” star asked host Conan Christopher O’Brien,“Remember that vacation we took in Tijuana a few years ago, we split that bottle of absinthe? Well, we fell in love, and I filmed it.”

O’ Brien, dolled up in a blue dress and pearl necklace, asked Reynolds under the rain, “Why didn’t you write me? Why? It wasn’t over for me. I waited for you for seven years. And now it’s too late!”

Reynolds countered, “Did you write 365 times? I wrote you every day for a year.”

“Did you write me?” O’ Brien asked again, to which Reynolds replied, “Yes, It wasn’t over.” With a tick of a clock, the two gentlemen lurched into a torrid kiss.

Reynolds made up for his “trouble” by comforting his wife, Blake Lively.

“The ways I know [Reynolds] got himself into huge trouble on Conan tonight. Not only did he come home with my true love, Levain Bakery cookies, but he personally toasted them for me and brought me a cup of milk with ice. Literal brownie points,” she captioned her snap on Thursday, ending it with a quote from the film, “If you’re a bird, I’m a bird.”

Reynolds also confirmed on the show that he and Lively recently welcomed their second daughter.  Gianna Francesca Catolico
