Gary to bow out of Korean variety show ‘Running Man’

In the world of Korean variety shows, “Running Man” from SBS is easily one of the top favorites. But after a seven-year run, one of the original seven members, Gary, is exiting the show.

Allkpop reports that according to the producers of the show, “Gary expressed his desire to focus on his music studies and revealed that he wants to invest more time in music.” The producers of “Running Man” has respected his decision.

Apart from being one of the original members, Gary is also the other half of the “Monday Couple” tandem that includes actress Song Ji-hyo.

Gary’s final taping for the variety show will be on Oct. 31 with the show resuming in November minus Gary. Wether or not a new member will take his place is unknown. One thing for sure is that “Running Man” won’t be the same without Gary and the Monday Couple.  Alfred Bayle
