Amazing images dazzle and excite televiewers

Last month, the most amazing images on our TV screen were paced by a science show that focused on a small group of adventurous risk-takers who invested all the money they could beg, borrow and “steal” to finance an expensive trip to Finland to dig for a rumored motherlode of—rubies!
They had to fly in by helicopter because the site was otherwise inaccessible, it was that remote.
But, all of the time, expense and dangerous risk-taking turned out to be more than worth it, because the site was positively studded with rubies!
They didn’t even have to dig for the motherlode of raw gem-bearing rock, because the rubies were glinting and winking at them on the surface!
All they had to do was bend down and pry them away from boulders, and some of them were as big as chicken eggs!
Bountiful
We’ve watched any number of TV shows about gem hunters all over the world, but this particular expedition was most bountiful in its harvest of precious stones—truly worth a king’s ransom!
This is the sort of show that makes viewers want to dash out of the house, hop onto a helicopter, and turn gem hunters themselves!
We were similarly amazed and “solved” when we watched a telecast in which one of the dazzling musical guests was Barbra Streisand.
Some years ago, the ageless icon announced her retirement after a lifetime of memorable performances.
But, she’s apparently changed her mind, or postponed the “inevitable,” and has come up with an album that has topped the music charts once more!
Musical showcase
Her TV appearance was a promotional performance to further boost her musical showcase’s popularity—and she blew viewers away.
Forget retire—rehire would be much more like it for beautifully, beatifically ageless Queen Barbra!
Just last month, we were again amazed to catch a documentary about boxing legend, Muhammad Ali, and it was a memorable viewing experience in its own right. It reminded us what a seminally influential figure he had been in our lives for decades, despite his debilitating illness. —Thanks for the exhilarating memories!
