Vanity causes big stars to lose major deal

/ 01:13 AM September 14, 2016

THE WAR of egos left no one unscathed.

Supporters thought Popular Star had a major project with Seasoned Luminary in the bag. Alas, PS’ handlers hemmed and hawed. Worse, PS didn’t lift a finger to expedite the negotiations.

Insiders got irked and dumped PS with dispatch.

Another Famous Celebrity “toyed” with the idea of accepting the proposal. Perhaps FC wanted to save face after a disastrous episode that had exposed certain liabilities.

FEATURED STORIES

Seemed FC wasn’t really that interested in the deal, though. FC played hard to get throughout the courtship stage—turning off everyone involved in the process.

Soon enough, FC was left holding an empty bag.

Vanity cost PS and FC dearly.

Hunk, interrupted

Grizzled Hunk is feeling down and out lately.

GH’s career is in limbo. The same can be said of GH’s love life.

Years of playing both sides of the gender divide have taken its toll on GH. Although GH has had countless affairs (with both men and women), true romance remains elusive.

It doesn’t help that GH is hooked on illicit substances. Depression has worsened GH’s addiction, and supporters are seriously worried.

An intervention is in order. Pronto.

Like a barnacle

A spy insists that Fading Star is getting anxious.

In a state of panic, FS went on a rampage and started befriending Promising Celebs who are the current faves in the biz.

Out of the blue, FS became the most ardent supporter of PCs. To think, FS couldn’t even say PCs’ names out loud just a few months back.

FS is notorious for employing this tried-and-tested tactic. In order to remain relevant, one must attach oneself, like a barnacle, to truly important people.

Yet another proof that FS is sooo over-the-hill.

Dose of infamy

Rumblings are getting louder.

Seems Cantankerous Personality is grossly unprepared for a mammoth venture. This early, CP is committing all sorts of booboos that leave even the most apathetic colleagues aghast.

Perhaps CP hopes to learn the ropes along the way? But do coworkers have the patience for the untalented and undeserving?

CP should have declined the offer, but then again, the lure of fame proved irresistible.

In the end, however, CP got a dose of infamy, instead.

Dumped

From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:

Since power was within reach, Vociferous Personality became the toast of Tinseltown. Sycophants tripped all over themselves to please VP.

Not skipping a beat, VP made hay—grabbing every opportunity that came along.

Now that Influential Backers have been displaced, VP’s stock similarly plummets down the drain. VP has purportedly lost not a few deals of late. Some clients drastically cut the offers, forcing VP to turn them down, with a heavy heart.

How the mighty have fallen …

Karma finally came knocking on VP’s door.
