This would probably sum up the feelings of Ogie Alcasid for his upcoming concert entitled “Ayokong Tumanda”.

“My youth was filled with music, kaya kahit ngayong may edad na ako, music is what keeps me feeling young,” relates the man known as the country’s Mr. Songwriter. For this concert, Ogie will be dishing out some of his popular hits with a touch of youth, as he quips, “para naman maka relate ang mga bata”.

Even his guests will have a splash of youthful freshness. Sharing the stage with Ogie will be relative newcomers in the industry like Lara Maigue and Davey Langit, as well as rock idol Basti Artadi, and rap duo QYork. “They are all being managed by my company ATeam. You will see why I believe in their talent as each of them will give their own special flavor to the concert.”

“Pero meron rin naman akong mga ka-age na sasama sa akin na mag-feeling young,” referring to longtime friend AiAi delas Alas, and the love of his life, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.

This all-OPM concert will surely make you feel that OPM is definitely alive. “Iba itong concert na ito. It will make you guys truly believe that OPM is timeless, and is definitely here to stay forever. Oo, merong forever!”

“Ayokong Tumanda” will be held at the Music Museum on August 26 and 27, 2016, with Ryan Cayabyab as Musical Director and Floy Quintos as director.
