Cheating does not pay

IN VEDIC literature, it is said that man has the tendency to cheat or live in a fantasy world. Some proverbs to remind us:

Cheat the earth and the earth will cheat on you. —Chinese (Nature will pay us back.)

Cheats never prosper. —German (Cheating brings on bad karmic reactions.)

Erring is not cheating. —German (We all make mistakes.)

The swindler readily cheats the covetous man. —Portuguese (Money addicts are prime targets of cheaters.)

He who cheats at play will cheat you any way. —Dutch (Cheaters are found in different activities.)

The first time you cheat on me, be ashamed. The second time, I should be ashamed. —Chinese (Do not be a victim of cheating twice.)
