Kiko Matos willing to be Baron Geisler’s onscreen lover
MMA fans, street fight enthusiasts and just curious and excited fans altogether are raving for the much-awaited rematch of actor Baron Geisler and independent film actor Kiko Matos inside the MMA cage on June 25. But once the two actors settle their squabble, is it possible they can work together and even become lovers onscreen?
Matos, despite figuring in bar brawl with Geisler, has openly expressed to INQUIRER.net that he would welcome the possibility of working together with his June 25 URCC fight opponent. Being an actor himself, Matos regards the work of Geisler highly and acknowledges his capacity to deliver impressive performance.
He said that if given the chance to work together, he would never engage in a fight with Geisler during the course of the project but that, once done, they could figure again in another clash if circumstances lead to it.
“[While working with Baron] of course, I’ll back down [from any fight]. I won’t get into a fight while working with him because it’s work eh. Just set aside our differences and the main purpose is to finish the project, and then we can fight after the project. I would love to work with him, he’s a very good actor, I’d like to learn from him also. He’s a senior. Nauna siya sakin,” Matos said in an interview Friday last week.
Dream ‘loveteams’
Since opportunities are pouring in on the way of charismatic Matos, it is inevitable that he be paired with a few personalities in show biz.
If given the chance to work with a leading lady, the half-Portuguese hunk gives his top three choices.
“I’ll definitely want to work with Anne Curtis, Jessy Mendiola and Glaiza de Castro,” he said.
Being a versatile actor, he’s ready to take on any role including that of a gay. “Of course I will, I mean if you’re secure with your sexuality, there’s nothing to be worried about,” Matos said with confidence.
What if he is paired with another guy in a love team?
“I’d like to work with Coco Martin, Jake Cuenca, Epi Quizon and, oh, Baron Geisler,” he said with a laugh.
From ‘fighters to lovers’
Since he expressed openness to working with Geisler, he is ready to do intimate scenes with the actor if the material is compelling enough.
“If the script calls for it. I think that would be a good film. I think everybody would want to see that, from fighters turned lovers,” Matos said, laughing out loud.
