COLEEN Garcia

Coleen Garcia has the charms of a child-woman. She sizzles anew in Star Cinema’s “Love Me Tomorrow” (opens May 25) with Piolo Pascual and Dawn Zulueta.

The romantic drama is a generational love story anchored on the journey of a young man named JC (Piolo), a conflicted young woman, Janine (Coleen), and Christy (Dawn), a woman on the verge of renewal.

It is a celebration of love that surpasses the frivolities of flirtation and physical attraction. One love fits all!

FEATURED STORIES

Here’s my tête-à-tête with Coleen:

On behalf of the millennials, what’s your unsolicited advice to incoming President Rodrigo Duterte?

To focus on everybody who believes in him and try not to prove people wrong. I am one of those who believes in him.  We are pinning our hopes on him. I hope he won’t let us down.

How has your boyfriend, Billy Crawford,    redefined love for you?

I used to perceive love differently. Now, I see it as something that’s unconditional. I realize that the person you love, the person you’re with brings out the best in you.

If your relationship is healthy, the best version of yourself will manifest and the same goes with your partner. Billy has made me believe that when you’re in love, you are inspired and motivated.

What’s the silliest or craziest thing that you and Billy have done together?

We were already dating that time, but we wanted to keep things low-key. When we attended the event of a friend, I made him wear a girl mask all night, so nobody recognized him. He was sweating like crazy.

In what ways will your movie make us look at relationships differently?

This movie will teach us that love is not just for lovers, and youth is not just for the young. No matter what stage you are in your life, you’re always learning something new.

Any funny anecdote during  the shoot?

What I can tell the viewers is to watch out for the drunken scene of the Titas of Manila. It’s one solid laugh trip.

If you were single, would you fall for a younger or older man?

It’s the maturity, not the age, that matters. I’m lucky Billy and I are on the same level of maturity.

If you could be a man for a month, who would you want to be?

Ryan Reynolds, because he’s very funny and interesting.

What’s on your bucket list?

To go skydiving and learn a new language.

What’s your hashtag for yourself right now?

#Learning.

If you could only be one of the following, what would you choose: smart, powerful, rich or happy?

Happy—even if you are smart, powerful or rich, you’d still feel empty if you are not happy.
