Most of the followers of the “Dr. Love” radio show on dzMM are senior citizens. They  enjoy listening to the late-evening program not only because it offers helpful advice for “problematic” callers, but also due to the timeless musical standards it plays. In addition, matters of faith are discussed by its host, Bro. Jun Banaag, OP.

On some nights, Dulce, an avid listener and good friend of Bro. Jun aka Dr. Love, makes a surprise visit and transforms the counseling program into an evening of inspiring music.

Another listener who rediscovered her faith by regularly listening to Dr. Love is Gina Pareño who, on a recent visit with Dulce, thanked Banaag for helping enlighten her spiritually.

She shared, “Listening to Bro. Jun is like attending a catechism class!” The actress now hears Mass regularly, something that she took for granted in the past.

Other celebrities who are “hooked” on “Dr. Love” include Susan Roces, Joseph Estrada, Imelda Marcos, Richard Merk and Isko Moreno.
