TV5 admits wooing Lloydie and Sharon

A TV5 executive confirmed reports that the network wooed actor John Lloyd Cruz with a lucrative offer, but refused to divulge the amount offered to the ABS-CBN star.
Talk went around that the Kapatid network offered Cruz a whopping P1 billion, three-year contract.
“Napakalaki naman no’n,” said Perci Intalan, TV5 Creative and Entertainment production head. “We cannot disclose the exact figure [and] it’s no longer important since the deal fell through.”
Cruz renewed his contract with ABS-CBN on Monday, making him an exclusive Kapamilya talent for the next three years.
An online report said TV5 offered Cruz P700,000 per taping day –P200,000 higher than what he was receiving at ABS-CBN.
“A lot has been written not only about John Lloyd and TV5, but also about the network’s relationship with other artists. Most of them are not true,” Intalan stressed.
But he admitted that there have been exploratory talks between TV5 and Sharon Cuneta, an ABS-CBN talent since 1988. He said Viva Films’ Vic del Rosario, one of Cuneta’s mentors, is helping broker a deal.

Meanwhile, Gabby is doing “Ded na Ded sa ’Yo” with Ruffa Gutierrez, while Sharon will shoot a Star Cinema movie with Gerald Anderson, Maja Salvador, Julia Montes and Enrique Gil.
