Angel Locsin denies breakup with Luis Manzano: ‘We are fixing things’

Actress Angel Locsin on Friday denied that she and TV host-actor Luis Manzano have broken up.
Rumors have been swirling that the two have split up weeks after their trip to the United States, which in itself sparked earlier speculations that they were going to get married there secretly.

Locsin in a TV interview, however, admitted that they are going through a rough patch.
“Hindi pa po,” a teary-eyed Locsin told host Boy Abunda when asked if she and Manzano have called it quits. “May pinagdadaanan lang po kami, pero inaayos naman po namin.”
(We have not broken up. We are just going through something, but we are fixing it.)
Locsin, however, refused to elaborate on what caused the problem, saying this might worsen things.

“Pasensya na, Tito Boy, kung hindi na ako mageelaborate kasi natatakot ako na kung may masabi ako, baka imbis na maayos namin, baka makasama pa. May inaayos lang po kami,” she explained.
(I am sorry, Tito Boy, if I would not elaborate because I am scared that if I say something, instead of helping fix things, it may just worsen the situation. We are just fixing something.)
On Tuesday, Manzano admitted to ABS-CBN News that they were indeed having problems. Like Locsin, he did not give details on their situation.
Despite the rough patch, Locsin admitted that she continues to draw strength from Manzano.
“Kahit kay Luis, humuhugot pa rin ako. Hindi naman nawala ‘yun. Kahit may problema kami, nandiyan pa rin ‘yung pagmamahal. May kailangan lang kaming ayusin. I am hoping na maayos,” Locsin said.
(I draw strength even from Luis. That did not change. Even if we are having problems, the love is still there. We just need to fix something. I hope we fix it.)
She also said during the fast talk segment of “Tonight With Boy Abunda” that Manzano makes her laugh and sad.
Locsin and Manzano first dated in 2007, but parted ways in 2009.
They rekindled their relationship in 2014 after separating with their previous partners—she with football player Phil Younghusband and he with actress Jennylyn Mercado. IDL
