Marilou Diaz-Abaya is sorely missed
ABAYA. Her film classics deserve to be restored.
MICKEY GARCIA, teacher: “I’m a huge fan of the late director Marilou Diaz-Abaya, who is sorely missed. I’ve never met her, but her movies reflect her goodness. I hope the people involved in film restoration can also restore ‘Brutal.’ It should be shown on the big screen again!”

Only a few actors can pull that off with such believability—he really looks like a woman, and a pretty one, at that! I have a hunch that Coco’s female persona could also be a hit in a comedy film. How about utilizing ‘her’ in the actor’s next starrer with Vice Ganda?”

One of those rare instances was when Maricar Reyes guested on ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya,’ where she portrayed an OFW. Her voice and eyes are her best assets. Film directors should cast her in projects that highlight her under-utilized acting prowess.”

Dante Arca, student: “I had a good cry watching the dzMM tele-radyo show of Julius Babao and Kaye Dacer where they featured cab driver Eugenio Ventura, whose exemplary conduct was posted on Facebook by his passenger, Rommel Lopez—and whose story has since gone viral. Features involving cabbies who politely refuse tips and are never choosy are noteworthy. Most of the time, all we hear are negative stories.”
