After a video of a Colombian burning an effigy of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach went viral, comedienne Ethel Gabison, more known as Ethel Booba, also “torched” an effigy of her own.

In her Twitter account, Gabison vowed to avenge Filipino netizens who took offense at the video posted by Colombian Noider Almanza Barraza.

The comedienne can be seen with a torch on her hand with an effigy, with Wurtzbach’s body but with Barraza’s face, already burning.

Gabison said: “Kalma lang guys. Ako bahala. Babawi tayo sa sunugan ng effigy. Charot!”

Barraza has since apologized for posting the video and explained that the effigy-burning or the Año Viejo (old year) is a tradition being done in Latin American countries.

He also took the video down from his Facebook account.

The video came out more than three weeks after Colombian beauty queen Ariadna Gutierrez was wrongfully crowned as Miss Universe. Colombians cried foul over the incident, adding that they were robbed of a back-to-back victory. AJH
