American television host Steve Harvey reportedly signed a multi-year contract to host the Miss Universe prior to making his infamous mistake this year, an entertainment website reported.

Entertainment Tonight said multiple sources confirmed that the comedian signed a multi-year deal with Miss Universe days before the beauty pageant aired live on Sunday in the US (Monday, Manila time).
