Nora’s holiday wish is for her brother’s healing

What does Nora Aunor want for Christmas? “I pray for healing—for my youngest brother, Buboy (Eddie Villamayor, who acted with her in ‘Minsa’y Isang Gamu-gamo”),” the 62-year-old Superstar told us during a brief but significant chat when we visited her on the set of her teleserye on GMA 7, “Little Nanay.” (More about this in another article.)

Eddie Boy, a former actor who topbilled NV Productions’ 1975 drama, “Niño Valiente,” has been in the hospital since he suffered a debilitating stroke in July. The iconic actress adds, “Sana gumaling na ang bunso namin, kasi mahal na mahal ko ‘yun—at wala namang ibang tutulong sa kanya kundi ako. There are just two of us here, because my sister Tita is in San Diego, kaya ako lahat. Buboy can’t move and has difficulty eating, kaya hindi ko s’ya pwedeng pabayaan!”

“I want nothing for myself,” she said. “I just want to be surrounded by my family on Christmas—that would truly make me happy!
