Elmo Magalona moves to ABS-CBN

Young actor and former GMA-7 artist Elmo Magalona, son of Philippine rap icon Francis Magalona, has transferred to rival network ABS-CBN.

The news was confirmed by Dreamscape Entertainment, a unit of ABS-CBN, through a series of Instagram posts of Magalona’s contract signing with the Kapamilya network on Thursday.

Present during the signing were ABS-CBN executives Cory Vidanes and Carlo Katigbak, director Lauren Dyogi, and Magalona’s mother Pia.

Dreamscape said Magalona’s first project in ABS-CBN is a series with teen actress Janella Salvador titled “Born for You.”

Magalona starred in various GMA shows, including “More Than Words,” “Sunday All Stars,” “Genesis,” “Villa Quintana,” “Together Forever,” “Tweets for my Sweet,” and “Bantatay.” YG
