#AlDubEBTamangPanahon tweets breach 20-M mark

Will the on-screen love team of actor Alden Richards and Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza break Twitter records again?

As of 2:26 p.m., the hashtag for Eat Bulaga’s “Sa Tamang Panahon” event at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan has reached 21.5 million tweets, the noontime show hosts announced.

This was after Richards and Mendoza sang the love anthem “God Gave Me You,” held hands, hugged, and danced together on stage, to the delight of thousands of emotional fans who flocked to the arena as early as Saturday morning.

Tickets for the show were sold out in just two days after it was announced last Saturday. The Philippine Arena, which holds the world record as the biggest multipurpose indoor arena, has a maximum seating capacity of 55,000.

In September, the AlDub love team broke Twitter records after its second “Saturdate” hashtag “AlDubEBforLove” reached 25.6 million tweets. YG/CDG
