Mendoza arrived first in the 55,000-seater arena onboard a jeepney with a “Kalyeserye” signage in front, while Richards rode a car and brought a box full of red roses for Mendoza.

When the two met on stage, Richards expressed gratitude to Mendoza and told her how he waitied for that moment to arrive.

“Maine, ang tagal kong hinintay ‘tong chance na ‘to to say that God gave me you. Ang layo na ng narating natin, dalawang taong naghahanapan at finally nagkita na rin. Salamat sa’yo,” Richards said.

(Maine, I waited so long for the chance to say that God gave me you. We have come so far—two people looking for each other, and finally we have met. Thank you!)

Mendoza reciprocated the gratitude to Richards, adding that the relationship that the two of them share would remain constant despite the drastic changes in their respective lives.

“Alden, thank you. Pinagdasal ko talaga ‘tong araw na ‘to. Ganun din naman ‘yung gusto kong sabihin sayo eh. God Gave Me You. Ang dami nang nagbago sa buhay natin, ang dami nang nangyari pero may mga bagay na hindi pa rin magbabago. Isa dun, ikaw at ako,” Mendoza said.

(Alden, thank you. I also prayed for this day. I also want to tell you the same thing. God gave me you. So much have change in our lives, so much have happened, but there are those which will remain the same. One of them is you and I.)
