ARIANE ARMAS, student: “The decision to reformat ‘The Ryzza Mae Show’ as a drama-comedy show (‘Princess in the Palace’), with Ryzza in the title role, is a wise move. The talk show had become predictable and  boring to watch. In the new show, however, Ryzza shows promise as a young comedienne.”

Other notes:

Remelie Rivera Silva: “I’ve always been a Sharon Cuneta fan, so it was endearing of Nora Aunor to mention at this year’s Famas awards that Sharon should have been similarly honored as one of the icons of Philippine cinema. I wish to see her act again.”

Chiqui Crisologo, housewife: “My hope for this nation has been revived by the zany AlDub ‘kalyeserye,’ whose overwhelming success shows that Pinoys still go for what’s good, clean and honest.”

FEATURED STORIES

Evelio Flores, office employee: “I’ve always been a fan of Manny Pacquiao, the boxer. But, I had doubts when he decided to enter show business—and my biggest fear now is over his decision to run for senator. I hope Manny changes his mind.”
