Why not hire Paolo Ballesteros to do the job, instead? Oh, but he’s with the rival network, so that’s a big no. Why not retitle the show: ‘Your Face Looks Horrific!?’”
Dennis Lucero, televiewer: “I like the feedback the ‘To The Top’ panel, headed by Ryan Cayabyab, gives its boy-band contestants. They’re spot-on and devoid of sugar-coating. The comments given by judges of other reality searches are often predictable, repetitive, too kind—and thus aren’t helpful to contestants. Televiewers expect them to do better.”
Ryan Miguel Lorenzo, student: “There were good performances turned in by the actors of ‘Heneral Luna,’ led by John Arcilla. But, the actor I was most impressed with was Mon Confiado. I used to dislike him, because of his ‘akting na akting’ style—but, in the historical biopic, Confiado delivered an understated portrayal as Emilio Aguinaldo.”
