Has “AlDub” fever conquered the House of Representatives?
Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares has been touted by Twitter users the “official lawyer” of AlDub, the love team of actors Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza or “Yaya Dub” whose characters play star-crossed lovers in the “Kalyeserye” segment of noontime show “Eat Bulaga.”
For days now, the congressman’s profile has been bombarded with tweets and retweets about the popular pair.
It began on Wednesday when Colmenares posted a photo showing his office staff watching the episode where Richards missed seeing Yaya Dub for the first time.

Colmenares said the couple could seek help from the Supreme Court so that they could finally meet in person.

Colmenares said he was prodded by his staff to file a resolution so that Richards and Yaya Dub could finally seal their romance.

A Twitter user asked Colmenares whether there was money appropriated from the national budget for Lola Nidora so that she would finally allow the couple to see each other.
Jose Manalo as “Frankie,” Richards’ rival in the story, has paid Lola Nidora P51,000,500 and resorted to blackmailing her so that he could marry Yaya Dub.
