‘Magical’ love affair
The “wizard” (right) and his “witch” tie the knot.
AJ Siytangco and Ayet Tipton met on Halloween dressed as a wizard and a witch, respectively. It took months before sparks flew between them.
When AJ moved to Singapore to become an animator for Lucas Films, he was homesick and lonely. Ayet started communicating with him online. That’s when they discovered their love for each other!
On their fifth year together, AJ proposed to Ayet during a private viewing of a “Harry Potter” film. They finally tied the knot last May 4—a date they deliberately chose so that, every year during their anniversary, they could greet each other, “May the fourth be with you!”
Their Potter-themed Tagaytay wedding was magical: The entourage marched to the tune of “Harry Potter’s Wondrous World.” The church was beautifully transformed into a flower garden with a hill-like altar.
The reception at the Light of the World retreat house was just as enchanting—as was the sumptuous feast prepared by the “elves” of Via Mare. AJ and Ayet wanted an “intimate” wedding—and their 300 guests enjoyed it immensely!
The happy couple has just returned from Japan—where they spent a magical honeymoon at the Universal Studios’ Wizarding World of Harry Potter!
