ACTRESS Claudine Barretto said that she is already in good terms with her estranged husband actor Raymart Santiago.

In an interview on Aquino and Abunda Tonight Monday night, Barretto said that she called Santiago hours before the show to confirm the status of their relationship.

“Sabi ko, ‘Teka lang, Marts, friends ba tayo?’ Tawa siya nang tawa. ‘Oo, friends na!’ ‘Kasi hindi ko alam isasagot ko, kung civil ba or friends na tayo.’ Friends na daw. So, okay, ‘Friends na tayo!’,” the actress said.

The couple repaired their relationship early this year. Barretto credited Marikina Regional Trial Court Branch 192 Judge Geraldine Fiel-Macaraig for helping them reconcile.

“Inupo niya kami at pinaintindi na ‘hindi tama ang ginagawa niyo, You have to stop it,'” the actress said.

The couple’s relationship was marked by bitter court disputes, with both sides accusing each other of drug abuse and domestic violence charges.

Aside from revealing her patched relationship with her estranged husband, Barretto revealed that she would be starring in a Star Cinema movie titled “Etiquette for Mistresses.”

This marks her comeback to showbiz after a four-year hiatus. However, she said that her rest from the limelight is to devote her time to her two children.

The movie also stars Kim Chiu, Kris Aquino and Iza Calzado and will be directed by Chito Roño. AJH
