2 former ‘Starstruck’ contestants nabbed in drug buy-bust operation

MANILA, Philippines – Two former participants of a popular talent search show on television were arrested in a buy-bust operation in a subdivision in Antipolo City Wednesday night, Philippine National Police spokesman Agrimero Cruz said Thursday.

Vivo Ouano, 21 and Jericho Rizalado, 22, from GMA Network’s Starstruck season 3 were arrested, along with Charles Joseph Lacson, 25; Jojo Pangilinan, 22; and Joshua Cue, 21 at number 26 Jasmin street, Phase III Town and Country Subdivision.

The buy-bust operation was conducted by the Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (AIDSOTF), led by Police Chief Inspector Arnulfo G. Ibanez with members of the Antipolo Police force.

Assorted tablets and capsules of Phentermine and Diazepam in sachets, both illegal drugs, were obtained from the suspects along with a roll of dried Marijuana leaves and a plastic tube with pipe, the report said.

The suspects were detained in the AIDSOTF office at the national headquarters in Camp Crame and were facing possible charges for violation of Section 15 Article II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
