Manny Pacquiao tells Jam of Jamich: ‘Be strong, courageous’
MANILA, Philippines—“Be strong and courageous.”
That was the message of Sarangani representative and Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao to Jam Sebastian, the half of the Youtube sensation Jamich who is battling stage 4 lung cancer.
In a video posted on his Instagram account, Pacquiao urged Sebastian to have faith in God.
“Jam, for you, from the Lord Jesus, be strong and courageous. Tanging Panginoon lamang ang makakapag-restore sa buhay natin, sa katawan natin. (Only God can restore our life and our body.) So have faith to God,” Pacquiao said in his video message.
“Jam get well soon, the Lord Jesus he’s the only way for healing, restoring everything and the only way of salvation. Nothing is impossible with God,” he added.
Pacquiao just arrived at Los Angeles to begin his training for his May 2 super-fight with Floyd Mayweather.
The video was released after Maricar Sebastian, the mother of Jam, asked the Filipino boxer to visit his son because he is one of his idols.
“Kay Sir Manny Pacquiao, kung puwede lang sana kung may time ka dalawin mo sana ang anak ko kasi isa ka sa mga paborito niya. Gusto ka ring makita ng anak ko, sana mapasaya mo siya,” Sebastian’s mother said in an interview with entertainment show Startalk last Saturday.
(To Sir Manny Pacquiao, if you have the time, I wish you could visit my son because you are one of his favorites. He wants to see you, I wish you could make him happy.)
Sebastian was recently in a critical condition but he has slowly recovered, his family said.
Jam was visited by other celebrities such as Vice Ganda and Kris Aquino. AJH
