Toni Gonzaga wants ‘traditional, clean, simple’ wedding

MANILA, Philippines—Weeks after announcing her engagement to director Paul Soriano, actress and singer Toni Gonzaga revealed some details of their wedding which is slated to happen this year.

In separate interviews with Pep.PH, Gonzaga said that she wants a traditional church wedding, preferably in her hometown in Taytay, Rizal.

“I just wanted it to be traditional, clean and white, and simple,” Gonzaga said.

She also said that she has already fitted her wedding dress made by her dream designer.

“I already have a wedding dress. Hindi ko pa masabi kung ano yung wedding dress. Siguro kapag malapit na, para ‘di maudlot,” she said.

Meanwhile, she emphasized that she is the boss when it comes to planning her wedding.

“A, siyempre, kung ako ang masusunod… at ako naman talaga ang masusunod, ‘no! Kasi baka si Mommy Pinty [Gonzaga] pa ang masunod, ‘di ba? Buong buhay ko, siya na ang nasusunod, e. Sana naman, sa araw na ‘to, ako ang masunod talaga!” Gonzaga said.

(I am the one in charge [of wedding preparations]. All my life, my Mommy Pinty has always been the one in charge. I hope on our wedding day, I can take charge.]

The actress said that they are now listing the principal sponsors for their wedding, but deferred from revealing their names as they want to invite them personally.

The couple has been in a relationship for seven years before their engagement. AJH
