Pasinaya fest Sunday

0215pasinaya (2)The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) mounts Sunday “The 11th Pasinaya: CCP Open House Festival,” a multi-arts festival that will showcase more than 3,000 artists and 300 shows, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all CCP performance venues.

There will be previews of coming season productions of the CCP and resident companies such as UST Symphony Orchestra, Philippine Ballet Theater, Philippine Madrigal Singers and Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, among others.

It will also feature an arts market, trade and fair exhibits, free visits to museums in Manila, art exhibits, film showings, food booths and performances by Asean and Filipino artists.

Partner museums such as Intramuros Administration’s, Casa Manila, NCCA Gallery, Bahay Tsinoy, San Agustin, Metropolitan Museum of Manila, 1335 Mabini Gallery, De La Salle College of St. Benilde’s Museum of Contemporary Arts and Design, National Museum of the Philippines, Museo Marino and Museo Pambata have renewed their commitment to showcase their fine collections of Filipino heritage.

entry to all performance venues for only P300); and Pasinaya VIP Box (a dedicated six-seat box at the Main Theater for the whole duration of the festival at P3,000).

There will be “Bayanihan sa Daan” and “Haruna Fun Run” events today. The stretch of Roxas Boulevard (southbound lanes) from Luneta to Buendia Avenue will be closed to traffic from 3 a.m. to noon to give way to the bikers and pedestrians. The northbound lanes will remain open to traffic.
