Now on its second year, “Rakrakan Festival” will proudly stage at least SEVENTY of the industry’s best artists, up on THREE individual platforms representing distinct musical cultures.

Get intoxicated with the diversity of sounds ranging from the rough, distorted riffs of rock and the heavy, merciless breakdowns of metal and hardcore at the Mosh Stage; to the ebullient and amiable tunes of pop, alternative, and electronica at the Move Stage; and to the warm, mellifluous rhythms of reggae, soul, and jazz music at the Groove Stage; all in ONE huge space – definitely, a euphoric haven for every soul who eats, sleeps and breathes music. In addition, last year’s main festival extracurriculars will be pumped up accordingly to complement the increased volume of our stage speakers:

  • Skateboarding Exhibition–revamped from 2013’s free-for-all skateboarding activity, “Rakrakan Festival 2014” will see the most talented boarders in the metro perform their best tricks in a day-long skateboarding exhibition. Awesome surprise gifts await those who are at the top of their game!
  • All-Indie Merchandise Bazaar–a melting pot of Pinoy artistic ingenuity and micro-entrepreneurship, this year’s Merchandise Bazaar will be larger and more exciting with the accommodation of more brands and products. Select from a plethora of original items–tees and tank tops, shorts and jeans, jackets, shoes and sandals, inexpensive jewelry, shades, buttons and pins, pipes, toys, and more at very competitive prices!
  • Food Bazaar–integral to the overall satisfaction of “Rakrakan Festival,” the Food Bazaar will add more participants and culinary choices to its menu to better meet the calorie needs of tens of thousands of energetic, music-hungry fans. Choose from a delectable assortment of foods to accompany your concert experience while standing and singing along with the crowd or shopping for Rakrakan souvenirs.
  • Henna tattooing and tattoo displays, intermission games, distribution and selling of sponsors’ products, information drives, and other activities will also be held to enhance your festival experience.

Rakrakan Festival: Rock ‘Til You Drop” started in 2013 with the aim of showcasing the best of what OPM can offer. It was pictured to be the largest congregation of homegrown artists and their supporters of its time, a utopia for every rock-hearted and hardheaded Rakista fam. It turned out to be a successful celebration of everything that espouses the culture of OPM, its talents and its future. Inspired by this feat, Rakista Radio now aims to help bring skills and crafts of Filipinos to a broader, international audience, one festival at a time.

So don’t miss it.
