Ai-Ai defends 21-year-old ‘bebe’: ‘They know your name but not your story’

MANILA, Philippines — Actress Ai-Ai delas Alas on Monday told her boyfriend, 21-year-old La Salle athlete Gerald Sibayan, how much she loved him and how he changed her outlook on love and relationships.
In her message to Sibayan for his 21st birthday posted on her Instagram account, delas Alas said that she made him realize why her relationships with her former lovers never worked out.
“THIS IS YOUR SPECIAL DAY MR GERALD SIBAYAN (partner, boss, baby , bebe, coronel , pringles and ang latest babs ?) lam ko mahirap ang dinaanan naten at dinadaanan pa din pero may kasabihan nga LOVE CONQUERS EVERYTHING — kaya natin to sobrang dasal lang at malalampasan naten to lahat– at parate ko sinasabi sayo at sa sarili ko I am always thankful to GOD dumating ka pinasaya mo ang buhay ko at iniba ang pananaw sa pag-ibig ( lumang salita te hayaan mo na parang nerbyos din yan dapat kinakabahan.. pambata hahaha) you walk into my life and make me realize why it never worked out with any one else ?maraming salamat sayo and on this special day i want to greet you A HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY — enjoy your happy bday with me — enjoy life — Always be thankful to GOD ,” delas Alas said on her Instagram account.
She also told Sibayan how to deal with detractors seeking to destroy their relationship.
“And if sometimes nasasaktan ka na hinga ng malalim at isipin they just know your name but not your story .. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH/ GOD BLESS YOU SO MUCH BEBE,” delas Alas added.
Sibayan celebrated his 21st birthday with delas Alas last November 29 in Japan, along with their closest friends.
Last September, the La Salle badminton player admitted his relationship with the 50-year-old actress.
Delas Alas was previously married with businessman Jed Salang.
