Elaine Gamboa-Cuneta, Sharon Cuneta’s mom passes away

MANILA, Philippines―Elaine Gamboa-Cuneta, the mother of Sharon Cuneta and grandmother of KC Concepcion, passed away on Wednesday.
She was 79.
KC Concepcion took to Twitter and Instagram to express her grief on the death of her grandmother.
Concepcion said that she has lost the “love of her life” and referred to Gamboa-Cuneta as the “best grandma ever.”
“Hi. I just lost the love of my life today. My Mita will forever be the BEST GRANDMA EVER. She will forever be with me. I love you, my Mita,” Concepcion said in a tweet.
The actress also said that Gamboa-Cuneta will forever be her inspiration.
“My grandma will forever be my inspiration. She loved life, gave us all beautiful adventures. She knew me more than I knew myself. #SuperLola,” Concepcion tweeted.
She also posted on her Instagram account a picture of her grandmother smiling and clad in a hospital gown.
“I will miss you laughing this much, this way. I shared so many fun times with you that I will recreate forever. You are my sunshine, Mita,” the actress said on her Instagram post.
Concepcion earlier tweeted that Cuneta-Gamboa will undergo a “make-or-break” operation Wednesday morning and asked for prayers for her grandmother from her fans.
Cuneta-Gamboa was a former beauty queen and singer. She had two children, Cesar “Chet” Cuneta and Sharon Cuneta, from her marriage with former Pasay City mayor Pablo Cuneta. She was also the sister of veteran actress Helen Gamboa.
