Beyoncé tops Forbes list of highest paid female singers

MANILA, Philippines — Beyoncé is the highest paid female singer for 2014, according to Forbes magazine.
The singer raked in $115 million for the past 12 months, nearly double of what second placer Taylor Swift made ($64 million).
“Queen B had the biggest year of her career, thanks mostly to a massive tour. The superstar singer played 95 shows during our scoring period, bringing in an average $2.4 million per city, according to Pollstar. Her latest album, Beyoncé, hit iTunes in December 2013 with barely any publicity—and quickly became one of the year’s top sellers,” Forbes said.
Here is a list of the “Highest Paid Women in Music” for 2014:
- Beyonce – $115 Million
- Taylor Swift – $64 Million
- P!nk – $52 Million
- Rihanna – $48 Million
- Katy Perry – $40 Million
- Jennifer Lopez – $37 Million
- Miley Cyrus – $36 Million
- Celine Dion – $36 Million
- Lady Gaga – $33 Million
- Britney Spears – $30 Million
Forbes gathered the list after estimating record sales, concert tickets, touring information, merchandise sales and interviews with concert promoters, lawyers and managers. The list was based from June 2013 to 2014.
