‘Shift’ in Japan theaters

Filipino filmmaker Siege Ledesma’s “Shift” opened in Japan theaters (including Shinjuku Shinemakarite) on Oct. 25, where it screens for two weeks. Ledesma flew to Tokyo to promote the film and attend a special screening at the Nihon University College of Art on Oct. 16. Ledesma told the Inquirer that Pictures Dept., the film’s distributor in Japan, first heard of “Shift” at the Osaka Asian Film Festival, where it won Best Picture in March.
