Our visit with the Jalandoni family to the Pinto Art Museum at No. 1 Sierra Madre st., Grand Heights Subdivision in Antipolo City, last Sunday was PCSO acting chair lawyer Joy Roxas II’s great idea.

With my son Kert in tow, the culture vultures’ trip turned out to be a day of family bonding and other surprises, made more exciting by the priceless paintings and sculptures in doctor Joven Cuanang’s collection. We were surprised by the presence of many teenagers and young couples, suggesting a dynamic resurgence of design and art enthusiasts in the country.

We had a brief tete a tete with Cuanang, who warmly welcomed our group. We joined the guided tour from 2 to 4 p.m., as curated by historian Riel Hilario. The museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays. Call Milky Blanco at 697-1015 for information about prenuptial photo shoots, guided tours and other events.
