School commitments stopped Aya, daughter of filmmaker Carlitos Siguion-Reyna and scriptwriter Bibeth Orteza, from attending the “Hari ng Tondo” screenings at the recent Toronto International Film Festival.

In one of the parties, Orteza and entertainment writer Baby K. Jimenez tagged along with the Inquirer’s Hollywood correspondent, Ruben Nepales, who introduced them to Hollywood actor Ethan Hawke.

Orteza couldn’t resist asking the star for a snapshot holding an iPhone with Aya’s picture. “He gamely said yes,” Orteza reported. Bayani San Diego Jr.
