Navarro files counter-affidavit vs Cornejo’s second rape case

MANILA, Philippines—Actor-TV host Vhong Navarro on Friday filed his counter-affidavit before the Taguig Regional Trial Court (RTC) on the second rape case filed against him by model Deniece Cornejo.

Navarro, escorted by his lawyer, Atty. Alma Mallonga, submitted his sworn affidavit to Taguig RTC Assistant Prosecutor Patrick Noel de Dios.

Cornejo filed another rape case against Navarro, insisting she was raped by the actor last January 17, after the Department of Justice (DOJ) junked the first rape charge she filed against the actor.
The court scheduled the hearing on May 9.
