TV director Rory B. Quintos recounts the preproduction for the ABS-CBN soap opera “The Legal Wife”:

“A lot of research went into this project. We interviewed men who cheated on their wives, as well as women who got cheated on by their husbands and those who admitted to being mistresses.

“We took note of everything—from the initial struggles of the men to resist other women to the effects of illicit affairs on the wives and children.” Marinel R. Cruz
