Two years ago, I attended a comprehensive seminar on how to start and manage a home-based or commercial travel agency, which helped me put up the Batanes Photo Safari in 2006.
The same workshop will be given by professor Nestor Dizon on Sept. 18 at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Del Pilar campus, Magsaysay blvd., Sta. Mesa, Manila. The seminar is designed for would-be retirees, tourism students, OFWs and others who wish to have an alternative business.
Among the topics to be covered:
Registration and licensing requirements, minimum financial requirements, sources of income, product development and strategic marketing, reservation and ticketing concerns, packaging local and foreign tours, etc. (Call 0917 360-0070, or visit their Facebook account by searching Business/Academic Multiseminars.)
Join our Weekend Photo Workshops beginning Sept. 24. Also, join the Batanes Photo Safari from December to May 2012.
