Nice, naughty celebrity Christmases

/ 08:25 PM December 22, 2013

DEREK Ramsay gave gifts to children.

’Tis the season for Santa to check our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts to see if we’ve been naughty or nice. In the spirit of Yuletide fun, I cornered some celebs and asked about the naughtiest, craziest and nicest things they did this year. Since I’m naughty by nature, I can’t pinpoint what my naughtiest escapade is. As for the nicest thing, it’s helping Cesar Montano and Noel Cabangon mount the fundraiser, “Sagip Bohol” for the quake victims in that province.

Have a naughtily nice and a nicely naughty Christmas, tout le monde!

FEATURED STORIES

Nicest thing I did was spending my birthday in Palawan. I gave gifts to the children I visited in the barangays. Naughtiest would be my Belo billboard.

Noel Cabangon

Nicest thing was making a new album and giving contributions to all the disaster and relief operations. I wrote a new song for the rebuilding of the lives of calamity survivors and produced a concert for my good friend, Bob Aves.

Naughtiest would be making a prank call to my wife, while she was at work. I introduced myself as an Indian guy—complete with Indian accent! (I love doing that.) The person who took the call talked to me in a very formal way. I asked to talk to Beng Cabangon and said I was James Taylor from India. I could sense the guy I was talking to starting to panic. Then I heard my wife holler, “Don’t be fooled; that’s Noel!”

Wency Cornejo

Nicest thing I did was to take part in several “Yolanda” benefits. The craziest was packing my bags, hopping on a plane and flying to Boracay on a whim.

Yayo Aguila

Nicest thing I did was forgetting about one person who did me wrong and moving on with my life. The craziest was befriending that same person again.

Nicest thing was donating clothes to the “Yolanda” victims; naughtiest was sleeping in a dog cage.

Tuesday Vargas

Nicest thing was, my husband and I tying a big ribbon around our car, then driving around feeding the homeless around our village, then giving them gifts. Naughtiest thing was giving my single friend sexy lingerie, plus a discount card to a motel.

Yuletide mush

I’m so touched that, amid the Christmas frenzy, Jose Mari Chan took the time to send me a copy of his Christmas album, “Going Home to Christmas.”

TUESDAY Vargas gave her friend sexy lingerie, plus a discount card to a motel.

On the  cover, he wrote: “To Dolly Anne, may the joy of Christmas remain in your heart all through the year.”

The album has 22 song—most of them written by him. The album is dedicated to his late father, Tony Chan. Some of the titles are “Ring in the New,” “Let Love Be the Gift,” “Christmas Moments,” “Song of the Firefly,” “Pagdating ng Pasko,” “With the Eyes of a Child” and “Pinoy na Krismas.”

What would a Filpino Christmas be without a Jose Mari Chan carol? Any time of the year, you take a little Christmas with you when you hear Chan’s angelic voice. After the rush, it’s time for some Yuletide mush, courtesy of Jose Mari Chan.

Willie Christmas

For those who miss Willie Revillame on TV, check out his Christmas album, “Christmas Wish” (Universal MCA). The songs featured are “Araw Araw ay Pasko,” “Namamasko Po,” “Unang Pasko,”  “Boom Tarat Tarat,” “Christmas Medley” and the title cut, “Christmas Wish.”

Willie’s personal wish is that all families would stay together and that Filipinos would rise as a stronger and more united people after all the calamities. With this album, he gives a piece of his heart to his legion of fans this holiday season.
