Stars for Others
Over the weekend, the Kapuso network’s “Sunday All Stars” studio was converted into a teeming relief center—with celebrities shedding glitz and glamour, buckling down to work for all their kababayan affected by Supertyphoon “Yolanda.”
There was Dennis Trillo carrying a sack of rice.
In another corner, Marian Rivera was repacking bags of rice.
Glaiza de Castro fielded calls from donors.
Alden Richards joined volunteers handling boxes of grocery items.
Other GMA 7 stars—from Tom Rodriguez to Jestoni Alarcon, from Dingdong Dantes to Mark Herras—likewise took breaks from their busy schedules, to participate in the network’s relief efforts.
They front-lined a special dubbed “Tibay ng Pusong Pilipino, a GMA 7 Telethon” on Nov. 17 (aired in the time slot of “Sunday All Stars”).
