‘Baybayin’ wins in Canada

Filipino filmmaker Auraeus Solito’s “Baybayin” won the best indigenous language production award at the imagineNATIVE Film+Media Arts Festival recently.

Solito, who now goes by his tribal name Kanakan Balintagos, said, “I was speechless. I invoked the Ampuh, the weaver of the universe.” Bayani San Diego Jr.
