Upon assuming her throne, the Philippines’ Megan Lynne Young promised to be the “best Miss World ever.”
The Inquirer sought the country’s past beauty queens, along with Young’s fellow “StarStruck” alumnae, for precious tips on how she can survive the hectic, heady yearlong reign.
Young, who is scheduled to come home tomorrow, is still in London discussing with Miss World organizers her responsibilities, according to Miss World Philippines chair Cory Quirino. A grand homecoming parade is set on Friday at 2 p.m., with Ayala Avenue corner Buendia as the starting point.
Quirino told the Inquirer: “Well-wishers are requested to wear blue and the employees in the offices along Ayala Avenue, to shower the returning beauty queen with blue confetti.”
