Nora wins in Russian fest

Nora Aunor won Best Actress for Brillante Ma. Mendoza’s “Thy Womb” at the 3rd Sakhalin International Film Festival held in Russia last week. It is Aunor’s fourth international honor for the role.

She was previously cited in Venice (Bisato D’Oro),  Brisbane (Asia Pacific Screen Awards) and Hong Kong (Asian Film Awards).

According to its site, the Sakhalin fest allows “Asian and Western [artists] to meet and interact.” Bayani San Diego Jr.
