Public invited to Cervantes’ wake at UP Diliman
MANILA, Philippines—The ashes of veteran stage and film director Behn Cervantes was brought to the Church of the Risen Lord (Protestant Chapel) in UP Diliman, Quezon City, at 3 p.m. on Aug. 19 followed by a service at 4 p.m. At 7 p.m., the UP Upsilon Sigma Phi had its final rites for Cervantes.
At 7 p.m. on Aug. 20, the UP Alumni Association is hosting a necrological service.
At 5 p.m. on Aug. 21, Bayan and the Concerned Artists of the Philippines will hold a “Parangal para kay Behn.”
Cervantes’ remains will be at the church until midnight on Aug. 2l. The public is welcome at any time.
