“Suits” returns to Philippine television for its third season on July 31, 8 p.m., via JackTV.
In the drama series’ first season, lawyer Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) took brilliant dropout Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) under his wing. Since the young man had lied about having a law degree, he and his mentor live in constant fear of being exposed.
Season 2 ended with Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) pushing forward plans to merge with a UK law firm headed by Edward Darby (Conleth Hill), much to Harvey’s consternation.
Not one to go down without a fight, Harvey tried to sabotage the merger, resulting in Jessica using Mike and his secret to get her way.
Paralegal Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle) confronted Mike, who was pushed to admit that, in fact, he never graduated from Harvard. This led to an intense encounter between them.
At the start of Season 3, each character must deal with the fallout of their actions. There is tension between Mike and Rachel, between Mike and Harvey, and between Jessica and Harvey.
Rachel, who aspires to be a lawyer, must deal with the fact that it is Mike who is living her dream life, though he hasn’t earned it. Will she manage to stay quiet and keep his secret, or will her ill will cause her to push Mike to reveal the truth?
(JackTV is seen on SkyCable Channel 51, Global Destiny Ch. 30 and Cable Link Ch. 36.)
