NY Times cites ‘Aparisyon’

Indie Bravo!

The New York Times came out recently with a positive review of Filipino-American filmmaker Vincent Sandoval’s “Aparisyon.”

In an essay, Jeannette Catsoulis described the film as “a meditative drama about the limits of faith and the corruption of innocence.”

Catsoulis cited Sandoval for conducting his explorations “subtly and delicately as showcased by Jay Abello’s luminous photography—a mystical dance of shadow and light.”

“Aparisyon” was shown in New York as part of the Museum of Modern Art’s ContemporAsian film series. Bayani San Diego Jr.
