BB Gandanghari is rated SPG: Super Pa-Girl
BB Gandanghari is all set to unleash her naughty and funny side in “Beauty and the Sweet” with John Lapus on August 2 and 3, 8 p.m. at Music Museum in Greenhills. (For tickets, call 09185633781.) According to the producer, Pops Fernandez, it’s rated SPG (Super Pa Girl).
I like being around BB because her joie de vivre is infectious. She serves as a much-needed reminder that life is too short to pretend to be someone you’re not. Enough of the masquerade. Let the real you shine through.
What can the audience expect from “Beauty and the Sweet?”
It will be a riot!
How will Sweet and you not upstage each other—or do you think you will upstage Sweet?
Walang upstaging na magaganap. I think Sweet is very funny but I’ve got wit.
What kind of BB will we see in the show?
BB letting her hair down.
How’s your relationship with your mom (Eva Cariño)?
Very good, it’s an answered prayer.
How are things between Robin Padilla and you?
We’re going through a process. But the good thing now is there’s acceptance. My relationship with my brother is something I’m thankful for every day.
What unsolicited advice would you give your nephew, Daniel Padilla, now that he’s famous?
Enjoy it, but be responsible. But I think he’s guided quite well by his mom Karla (Estrada) and dad Omeng (Rommel Padilla).
Anything that people don’t know about BB?
My life’s pretty much an open book, but I guess people don’t know that I live a very active life. I’m adventurous.
What’s a misconception about you that you would like to correct?
I think people will always have a different perception of me, depending on what they read about me. I’m very transparent. What’s really important is how I’m perceived by people who really matter to me and, above all, how my God sees me.
What’s your beauty regimen?
Early to bed, early to rise.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Watching TV all day.
What are you like as a lover?
It’s art imitating life. Well-acted, well-written and well-directed. Kudos to everyone.
What’s your advice to closet queens?
Napakadilim at napakasikip sa loob ng closet. The truth will set you free!
What’s your message to your detractors?
What would you like to say to Rustom Padilla?
Not much. Let him rest in peace!
What would you like to say to Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legazpi?
I hope you live happily ever after.
What do you love most about being BB?
What’s the hardest part about being BB?
What’s one love rule you follow?
Love God above all.
How do you deal with heartache?
I haven’t had a heartache for the longest time. I pray. When it comes to affairs of the heart, only prayers will see you through.
At this point, what would it take for you to fall in love?
I would fall in love with the person who would take me to paradise.
What’s the craziest thing you did for love?
As BB, I’ve never been in love. So I don’t know how crazy I can get. Chos!
How would you like to be remembered?
As a trailblazer.
